Our first and best-selling hot sauce. A collab with Alex and Louise at Otomí, this Original Habanero Hot Sauce is made to a traditional Mexican recipe and is packed full of habaneros. A perfect ingredient to spice up your Mexican feasts. This is a good all-round hot sauce with a decent amount of heat to it!
Good with tacos, fajitas and mixed through mayo.

This a great tasting sauce with a good heat. Also key is the salt content is low – many hot sauces of other well known brands have soooooooo much salt cannot be any good !!

As a South Texan obsessed with spice, I’m quite picky when it comes to any sauce claiming to be Mexican style. I can say two things about this product:
1) this is nothing like any of the countless Mexican style sauces I’ve had (from Baja to Yucatan) over the years; perhaps it’s a style I’ve never seen, but I think it is more likely just not a Mexican sauce.
2) it’s absolutely delicious! It’s clean and fruity up front with a solid, moderate burn of habanero on the back. It has considerable body, and is noticeably well-crafted. It is much more akin to a West Indian/Belizean sauce, in that regard. This makes for a wonderful and diverse product that can be used on most anything.
I would happily buy again!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to review and really pleased that you’ve enjoyed it! We thought you might be interested to know the back story of this Habanero Hot Sauce. We made it in collaboration with Otomi (a Mexican shop in Bristol); Alex (who is Mexican) called up his mum in Mexico while we were in the kitchen developing our hot sauce to ask for her recipe (which we slightly adapted) so it’s more of a family recipe than a regional hot sauce in that respect. We also find it goes with almost anything, and we’re happy you think so too!

This is the best chilli sauce I’ve ever eaten. Seriously I’ve eaten a few as a true heat freak. Not only is it reasonably priced but the depth of flavour and balance of taste with heat is perfect. I find many sauces are just hot without flavour. This sauce is amazing. I use it on things like sandwiches as it’s quite thick and it’s amazing on quorn picnic eggs. I’m drooling just thinking about it. I keep my cupboards well stocked with this tasty treat. I have also ordered hampers from Mr Gingerbeard and always found the produce is delivered promptly. I couldn’t recommend their stuff highly enough.

This is not a hot sauce…It is an INFERNO!!! It is only surpassed by crushed Naga bhut jolokia chillies but then one needs to be a bit loose in the head to use those!! Superb and the best hot sauce available with a great aftertaste.
